Training

I am in tuned with various healing modalities.  I graduated from an intense massage program with 1200 hours (state requirement was 500),  I added to my knowledge by traveling around the world learning from various teachers and mentors to enhance my skills. One of my degrees in Herbal Sciences and certified Master Herbalist.  Most of my clientele comes via referral.

Swedish massage

Swedish massage consists of a specific set of massage movements: effleurage, or sliding movements; petrissage, or kneading movements; friction, or rubbing; vibration and percussion. It traditionally also includes passive and active joint movements, stretching and bending joints with the assistance of the massage therapist

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage but the movement is slower.  My teachers taught me that it's not about pressure but about depth.  Depth concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

Jin Shin Do Acupressure

Jin Shin Do Acupressure, is a manual therapy that uses acupressure points to enhance muscle relaxation and movement of the body. Gentle to moderate finger pressure is used to facilitate healing. This form of bodywork integrates well with the traditional uses of physical therapy.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release consists of gentle stretching and compression of the fascia and the muscles, the body relaxes and uneven tension on the fascia begins to self‐correct. This release of tension affects the entire body because all fascia is interconnected.

Myoskeletal Alignment

Myoskeletal alignment technique (MAT) is a type of bodywork which blends the principles osteopathy and structural integration to relieve chronic pain and to reduce the potential for the emergence of pain which could become chronic over time. This technique is often integrated into regular massage and bodywork sessions, and it can also be used alone to treat systemic problems.

Lomi Massage

Lomi massage believed to have originated in the Hawaiian Islands Lomi Lomi massage is a form of full body massage that is unlike any other massage modality.  As a client receiving a Lomi Lomi massage the main difference you will notice is that the massage is performed on your entire body at once.  Unlike most other massages where the therapist uncovers and treats one body region at a time, in a Lomi Lomi massage the therapist will use long flowing strokes that go from head to toe in a continuous, rhythmic movement massaging both the top and the underside of your body.

Sound Frequency

Sound is a type of energetic therapy that creates the sacred space in which people can address stress , pain, anxiety, the emotional roller coaster and more.  Ancient instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls are 'struck and sung' in specific rhythmic patterns to create vibrational sound harmonics. Clients are resting on a massage table during the session.  Results can vary from a deep sense of relaxation, to relief from physical and/or emotional pain, a sensation of lightness as the body lets go of past emotional and physical issues.

Essential Oil/Aromatherapy

It's not just about smell.  Each essential oil has organic chemical constituents that interact with the body that can provide therapeutic healing.  Everything I use in my sessions has a specific purpose for being implemented.
